The place is reasonably cute. The location is great.
Parking was full, but street parking was better, and ample.
No floors are level. The shower is pretty bad, really really high shower head, and tile in bad shape. A tub would have been better - the layout is a little weird.
The blinds do NOT block out light - day or night, it's really bright in there. It's also very loud when the gate outside slams, or when other guest are outside just having a conversation, at 2AM. Don't expect a restful sleep.
The washing machine is off balance.
There is a lamp near the sofa, but it's not plugged in, because there is no outlet. It's just there to look cute I guess?
Internet works fine, but it's slow DSL.
Basic items you might expect to find like salt are absent, no big deal, but would have been helpful.
The ceiling fan lights have wireless remotes, which sounds great, until you realize every unit has them, and they are all wireless, and when a nearby unit turns their light off / on, your light often turns off / on. That's a little annoying, so just turn the main switch off, and don't use those lights.
To management: the gate - make it NOT slam & squeak, and NOT shake the entire building every time someone comes in -- this can't be that hard? Consider renovating the shower.
