My wife and I had a very disappointing experience during my 9-day stay at this hotel. We were forced to change rooms three times due to ongoing maintenance issues. Upon arrival, the front desk said they would charge a security deposit to my card, but then charged the entire stay in advance, stating this is their policy with a Mastercard debit card and that they preferred not to “chase guests” for payment afterward. However at checkout, the same front desk manager claimed we had prepaid through Expedia and that they couldn’t access our billing details—advising that we would receive the invoice from Expedia instead.
Later, I received an invoice directly from Hilton via email, which contained several billing errors. I had to return to the hotel to get them corrected. Surprisingly, another manager was able to access and adjust the charges, and provide a printed bill, contradicting what we were previously told. Today, three days later, I found another transaction charged to my card in excess of the printed bill total! When I called the hotel today, a representative said she didn’t see this charge on my account and that it should drop off or be refunded in a couple of days.
These inconsistencies and poor service made our stay extremely frustrating. I do not plan to return to this establishment and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.
