"The room was clean. The bathroom was small. The refrigerator worked well. No microwave in the rooms. We inquired about no microwave in the room. We were told they only have about five on the property and they can be requested. We requested a microwave, but after the third day of us inquiring, we concluded they were not going to bring one. I must admit it was my fault because I am just accustomed to there being a microwave in my hotel room. Their website does not that a microwave is in the rooms. Also, their website list Wi-Fi in the common areas. I'm not accustomed to not having Wi-Fi in the room. I went to the common areas like the lobby and the breakfast area. No Wi-Fi. I inquired with the front desk clerk and was told that there is no Wi-Fi in the building. He said that management was in the process of changing internet providers so be prepared to use the data from your mobile phone service provider. I would give the breakfast a three out of five. Onsite staff is good.
Using GPS to get to the property parking lot will take you to a dead end street that has been blocked off. Use the FedEx Store address of 315 N Sam Houston Pkwy E, Houston, TX 77060. Slow down and turn right at the very next right turn. At night, you can read Hyatt Place under the sign covering for The IAH Houston Hotel. The hotel is behind the FedEx Store. Continue driving through the gate. It's normal for there to be very few vehicles in the parking lot."
