"Food was decent, bar was nicely set out. Check in fast and efficient wutj friendly staff. Shuttle from train station and to airport fab addition. Room 128 unfortunately was a massive let down with a strong sweaty and used odour as you entered the room that did not disapate even with the window open all night. The bathroom door was rotten, thick dust everywhere. Duvet cover ripped and exposing a yellow duvet and yellow stains on some of the towels. Not the standard i expect from Clayton. Emailed to complain and have been happy with their efficient response."

"A lovely hotel with great spa facilities; perfect for a short relaxing break. Just a shame that the coffee offering is so poor! Instant coffee sachets in the rooms rather than a coffee machine and very weak cafetière coffee served a breakfast. It was great to receive a free bottle of water in the room, but even better if it had been Buxton water!"

"Hotels.com asked for a breakfast specific review, so: Breakfast was a quick and simple hot and cold buffet with plenty of delicious things on offer. Decent coffees are an issue though as you have to pay extra, which seems a little old fashioned. and sometimes they don't switch the coffee machine on early enough."
