Great rooms and lodges, very well equipped. We could hear the sealions on the beach below! An easy 5 min drive to restaurants in Trinidad. Hotel staff really friendly, even have a wide selection of dvds to borrow.

Justin the owner was fantastic and so helpful! He recently purchased the property and plans to renovate in the low season. I think this will make an already great B&B even better. The only things I think were really missing were blackout curtains, the curtains were really flimsy and thin so we were up with the sun, and a daily housekeeping refresh. The Requa Inn is very charming and has a beautiful common area with a fire place, boardgames, beautiful decor and breathtaking views to enjoy for all guests. There was a fridge for guests to share and even a hot tub outside. Our room was lovely and cosy. We also got cookies when we checked in! We loved it!

A hidden gem. From the road an unobtrusive and steep driveway leads up to the house and outbuildings where I was warmly greeted by the proprietor, a proud Dane. Standing on this steep slope the Victorian town of Ferndale is glimpsed through the trees below you. The accomodation was above a garage area.and I was surprised by the size of the lounge area. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception, rooms look newly refurbished and are very comfy! Loved the Starbucks pods in the rooms. Breakfast was a good range and great to have a selection of fresh fruit too. Didn’t use pool area but it looked well maintained and relaxing. Easy stroll into the old town with plenty of restaurants to choose from! Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

The Gingerbread mansion in Ferndale is like a fairytale that has to be seen to be believed. Immaculate Victorian decor from another magnificent era is presented in all 11 bedrooms. Afternoon tea greets you on arrival and the home cooked breakfast is right out of the top drawer, not to mention the breadth of home baked muffins and pastries you can take on the go. We saw this place by chance, but will now find reasons to go there deliberately. Thank you for the experience.
