We had a great welcome after walking all day on the Pennine Way. The room was comfortable, clean and met our every need.
The evening meal was delicious and ample.
We would definitely recommend High Force Hotel.

Loved my spacious room and bathroom. The carpet was really stained and smelly, it needs to go. The carpet on the stairs up to the rooms was even worse. Staff were lovely.

I stayed here with my partner for a wedding. I got here around midday and fro that point onward everything was fantastic. All of the staff here were so friendly and accommodating, even arranging taxis for us and then keep an eye on them to arrive while we had a beer. We got back around midnight and had a chat with the owner, who again was really friendly.

Very prompt friendly and efficient book in even though staff were preparing for a busy night, room immaculate and clean all new bathroom. The drive to and from the hotel was breathtaking especially if you head for Carlisle like I did. Thanks for having me I hope to visit again. Best wishes Michael

Lovely staff who were helpful and courteous. Beautiful views and comfortable bedrooms. Clean, nicely decorated with all you need and plenty of space. We had room 5.
The food was very good and the choice excellent.
Would highly recommend and would certainly return.

What a lovely welcoming hotel in the centre of the village. Our dog had his own special treat on arrival of Posh dog wine. This made us all smile. I had let them know it was are anniversary and we also had a lovely surprise in our room. But oh my goodness the food it phenomenal from breakfast to lunch and then dinner WoW! Thank you for making our stay so lovely. We will be back

The CB Inn has the best of a pub in terms of atmosphere and welcome, but the status of a hotel with the quality of the rooms and brilliant cuisine. All the staff were interested and knowledgeable about the food we ordered. The setting is idyllic, looking down the peaceful dale, with walks all around from the doorstep.

Had an incredible stay here. The house and surrounding area are stunningly beautiful, and the rooms are very cosy. Loved the amenities provided and the staff were wonderful, down to earth and happy to help with whatever you needed. We booked a room with a conservatory and had an amazing time watching the bats fly in and out of the tree next door.
Breakfast was wonderful, as was the dinner service. I can see why you have so many regular guests!

Yes, there are holiday rentals close to the most popular sights in Hunderthwaite, or you can select a more secluded option if you're looking for a relaxing stay.
What can I see and do in Hunderthwaite?
North Pennines and Hury Reservoir are a couple of lovely local spots to get outside and enjoy nature. In the wider area, you’ll find Yorkshire Dales National Park and Eggleston Hall.
What are holiday rentals like in Hunderthwaite?
Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Hunderthwaite. Holiday rentals provide amenities such as patios, hot tubs and fire pits so you'll have everything you need. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, holiday rentals can provide a sense of security away from public hotel lifts and lobbies bustling with people while still allowing you to travel. You'll also have more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is an attractive option for small groups.
