"What a great location in Paihia! At the very beginning of the strip, so you’re away from the busier hub up. Close enough for a quick seven minute walk to the pier and the center, passing great cafés and beautiful scenery along the way. Directly across the beach with beach bbq’s and picnic tables. Swimming in the ocean was fabulous and if you don’t like that, the pool is sparkling, clean and heated plus hot tub! Accompanied with daily fresh towels and service touchup for the room. Includes coffee, sugar, and everything you need to wake up. We would most definitely stay here again. The owners were always on site, attentive, and cheery every time we saw them, making sure our stay was awesome. Thank you so much, Anchorage! "

"For the price, this motel is way over-rated. The redeeming feature is the friendliness and quality of their staff. The building is poorly designed, with multiple residents having to walk past the “ocean glimpses” room we had. Inevitably, privacy and peace is disturbed. Rooms are tired and old, certainly not value for the high price we paid. Not really self-contained, and kitchen equipment was all battered and dirty. The location is convenient, but there are far better options nearby."

"Good check in was the only highlight. The room was very musty and smelt during the whole stay. We had to leave the ranch slider open to air out the place. The bed was extremely old and very uncomfortable. Could not recommend at all."

"Was a nice place however, dated - very noisey from floor above and door so short that light shone thorough from the hallway and had to out pillows to block at night - would have been an amazing place in its day "

"This is definitely a 2 star motel. Parking very tight and room quite dated. On the plus side…. nice and quiet and very close to town. 30 sec walk to four square and a great early morning bakery. So that was a major plus for us. "
