"The hotel isn't perfect but the new owner is working his butt off getting it better day by day. Our room was clean we didn't have a microwave but as soon as I asked where to find one the owner brought a brand new one to the room."
"I'll start off by saying a trip to a place like Cedar Point requires only a place to shower and lay our heads.
With that being said what I noticed during my stay was:
Pros:
-the staff was very friendly
- it's a motel so you are able to park right outside of your door
- upon entering our room, it was very clean and smelled fresh
- does offer complimentary breakfast that included pancakes, gas station style donuts and muffins, oatmeal, yogurt, ect. No eggs, bacon or anything like that.
- didn't use the pool but it is directly in the center of the courtyard and gets plenty of sun and had 2 decent little water slide for the kids
- very close to CP and can walk to places like Famous Dave's & Thirsty Pony
- Vending Machines were well stocked and ice machine worked as should
Only con I could think of was the shower head sat at about 65" (5'5") so me being 5'10" and crouching under the shower head and could only imagine what a 6'4" + would have to do.
Would stay here again"
"Breakfast was sub par, Best western normally has a good breakfast but this one didn’t. The beds were on the small side, I don’t believe that they were queen’s.
The price was high but I guess all of the hotels are priced high for the area, I would expect more for that price it wasn’t a elite hotel, don’t know if I would recommend it to anyone."
"Check in went smoothly and the room was clean upon arrival. We were on the 1st floor near the waterpark so it was pretty ideal. My only complaint is that during the week the slides, water coaster and hot tub were closed. There was still a few things to do but the main attractions were closed so we chose to skip it the last couple of days during our stay. Being this close to Cedar Point with the option of an indoor waterpark for the rain days is super ideal."
"Overall an excellent experience and stay. Staff was helpful and friendly, especially the water park staff. The water park wasn’t crowded and it was clean.
The only item that wasn’t amazing was our suite’s bathroom, which could use an update and a deep clean.
All in all, we loved the hotel and will return."
