Not to mention the stunning beach and the wonderful view of the Temple of Poseidon. We visited at the end of the September and the water was still so warm. Such a hidden gem. "The property is perched high up, some 120 steps up from the harbour. If you don’t feel like carrying your own luggage you can hire the service of a local mule for 20 euros. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable recommending local restaurants. Our room (201) was situated at the end where of the building overlooking the harbour. We had a terrace at the rear to sit and enjoy a glass of wine but this did not have a view. Our shower doors were missing but this was not an issue.s the beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean all round. A number of options for the continental breakfast were offered including scrambled eggs and bacon which was bonus. The clock tower strikes at the hour and half hour throughout the day but ceases at 10pm and restarts at 6am! That was a bit of shock after the first night! Access to good waking along the coast of Hydra and island day hoping should you want to. We think you’d exhaust all attractions in 2 days but just watching the yachts in the harbour passes the time. "
