"This was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places we have ever stayed. The lounge was filled with tasty treats and drinks in the afternoons and outside was a beautiful area with a foot bath. "I recently stayed at "Kappa no Yado Ryokan Sanjiro" in Zao during my trip to Sendai. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend this inn! First off, our room was incredibly clean and tidy, which made for a really comfortable stay. Cleanliness really makes a difference when you're trying to unwind from travel, and they nailed it. "Great traditional Japanese Ryokan. They were comfortable with foreigners and did thier best to make us feel welcome. The Onsen was a wonderful and the dinner and breakfast provided were amazing. Probably some of the best Miso I have had. If you are not familiar with Onsen, I recommend watching a YouTube video or two to get an idea of what needs to be done. It is about a 15 minute Taxi ride to the Zao Fox Village, which is worth visiting as well."
