"the first thing that stuck us was how out of town this type of accommodation is. That applies to all Masseria hotels. The rooms are situated around a pretty courtyard. The rooms are basic and of reasonable size. There are no facilities for making tea/coffee. However, there is a fridge. A small sitting area is outside each room. There is no bar here and the restaurant does not open till 8 pm. the reception can provide wine or coffee. We bought our own beer and kept in in fridge in room....

Giardino dei Trulli Tenute was a perfect place for us after a long day of going around Matera, Alberobello and Bari Vecchia. "Great on pictures but didn’t live up to it in reality. Bathroom, sink and shower were smelly. The toilet seat was broken. We also had a bad experience due to a lost item and the hotel was not helpful. When we drove back to find the item The kitchen staff were lovely though. "
