"The hotel is in a good location for buses and trams and walking. I didn’t have a great experience with check in (waited until nearly 8pm after arriving around 6pm) but was given drinks in the bar. Housekeeping did not come to the room (had to request towels multiple times and the room was never refreshed during my 6 night stay). The hotel reached out afterwards to apologize and state they would correct this in the future. Overall, not the experience I am used to at a Hoxton, so slightly...

"The place is beautiful, and our room was very good. The biggest issue was that Uber or Bolt does not pick up there. And we had to ask the hotel to call a taxi, which was really expensive (3x Uber). From Edinburgh center, ~£20 Uber and £50 taxi. Or you can go to the nearest train station for ~£15. The other issue was that there is no phone coverage in the hotel and very weak connection outside."

"A hotel that actually has a personality. Most hotels feel interchangeable. DogHouse Edinburgh doesn't. The room was more like a small apartment than a standard hotel room, and the in-room beer tap and the fridge in the shower sound gimmicky until you're using them after a long day of walking the Royal Mile - the craft beers are delicious, too!
