"The bed was so comfy. Also great pillows. I was tempted to steal one. ;-) Staff at the front desk recognized me as a female solo traveler, and asked if I might be more comfortable in the main building, as opposed to the motel style annexes. I appreciated the check-in person was so attuned. "

"Room was clean, however, the garbage can in the main room was not emptied out from the previous tenant. EWWWW! Needs a bit of updating - walls looking tired and the carpet was not especially clean. The staff was super nice and everything else was just fine."

"The only thing was that the hot water Spicket made a loud noise and did Not have a lot of flow."

"The location is quiet and peaceful despite being handily close to downtown Radford. We loved the location. Check in was easy and efficient. Our room, was okay, though we found a dirty plastic spoon on the floor, upon arrival. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were both empty as well. We discovered, in the middle of the night, that we didn't have an extra roll of toilet paper. It made one feel that perhaps it hadn't had the greatest attention to cleaning. Also, when we tried to get a blanket for the pull out couch, all they could find to bring us was an additional stack of sheets. It truly wasn't terrible, just not great either. "

"We drove 75 miles to the hotel just to be told we could not stay there because we lived 50 miles from the area. (It is in fact 75 miles per our map) the guy at the desk seemed uninterested in telling me why this was a rule. We had booked the room days in advance so I’m not sure why Red roof did not reach out. Thank goodness the hotel down the road was very thoughtful and let us stay the night there. I had never had this happen before and had stayed in hotels closer to home than 50 miles. We had a wonderful stay at the other hotel so maybe it was just a sign. Just a heads up to anyone."

"This property seems as kept up as possible considering the age. However, you’re hit in the face with a combination of cigarettes and weed the moment you enter. It appears that at least a third of the property has permanent residents. The entrance I was told to use has a door with a broken lock and the panic bar zip tied open with a sign simply saying door lock broken don’t use. Had to walk through a smoke party at the door to even get to the room that also provided a contact buzz. If this is your last option to stay in Radford, buy a tent instead."
