Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately well below expectations. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were cold and unwelcoming, which set the tone for the rest of our visit.
The most frustrating issue was the air conditioning. The hotel controls the temperature, so we had no ability to adjust it from our room. On our first night—during a stretch of nearly 90-degree weather—the air conditioning in our room was broken. Despite repeated calls to the front desk, the staff offered little help. The only solution provided was for someone to manually turn the system on every 30 minutes throughout the night.
This required us to keep calling the front desk repeatedly, even waking up the staff member at times because they had forgotten to switch it back on. It was incredibly disruptive and completely unacceptable for any level of hotel, let alone one that positions itself as accommodating to guests.
While we understand that things can go wrong, the lack of urgency, empathy, and basic customer service shown by the staff made a bad situation even worse. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodations.
Also, they claim to be a 4-star hotel, however, the only amenities in the room were soap and shampoo. No lotion or conditioner. No bellmen either . Moreover, breakfast was not included in the price and cost 24€/person.
The hotel did credit us the first night due to the broken air and moved us to another room, but the situation was already fractured.
