The curtain to the terrace is not well placed and has zip ties holding and some wiring. The jet tub was not very clean and barely hot water. "The property is conveniently located in an ideal location centrally to many walkable attractions. It is on one of the most beautiful streets in the historic area. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The courtyard was a relaxing retreat throughout the day. "We stayed at East Bay Inn April 2026. Entering our Deluxe King room, we discovered dozens of pet feces stains on the carpet that weren't properly cleaned. We requested another room, but they could only do that by having us change rooms on the next day or the following day. As we intended to be out walking the Historic District, both days, this wasn't an option. They offered to spot clean the carpet, but there were stains about every 2 feet all the way around the bed, so the entire carpet...

However, hated the spray spigots in the shower, the BR window frame was rotting, and just did not like the Bathroom at all; the AC vents were grossly dirty/molded throughout. "Our room was clean but a little shabby. Rough remodeling work However, the staff was amazing and were going back (and staying in another room) just because of the staff. Chuck and Miss Dee Dee made us fell at home. One important issue, they have 3 floors with old steep stairs and no elevator! They need to notify clients about this when they chose rooms."
