"DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY. The phone number listed is out of service and there is NO WAY to contact anyone at this property, as it is managed by a third party. I booked 2 nights, tried to get ahold of someone to give us keys and instructions on how to check in and the phone number doesn't work. I contacted the property through Expedia and the management company got back to me 36 hours later. In the meantime, we had to drive 40 minutes out of Inverness to even find a hotel for the first night and...

"The Black Friars has been our best hotel experience so far in our 2 week vacation in Scotland. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had a lovely rainshower bathroom feature. One can hear some noise from the hallway & a room above. Not a deal breaker. There is no elevator.
The onsite restaurant has a nice selection of entrees, very good tasting food and is reasonably priced.My traveling companion has high praise for the braised short ribs and their truffle fries with Parmesan cheese!
