"Room and view were awesome, the entire set felt like they were aiming to be a cut above. The food was lacking in most areas. The jumbo shrimp at Dukes was the best, everything thing else was par for the course for all inclusives in the area but left much to desire. If the food matched the level of everything else it would hands down better than all other experiences in the area. We visit Cancun, PV and Cabo on a regular basis. If you more of a traditional Mexican experience with Latin flare, this is not the spot. If you want a W line type of facility and modest food but knock out beach and views you will be satisfied. We would visit again but only for the room: we had the Finest side with the rooftop plunge pool."

"THE ONE REVIEW TO HELP YOU PICK YOUR HOTEL: I have been to numerous all inclusive resorts in the Cancun area. This one is by far the WORST. Let me tell you why.. This resort is advertised to be much better than other Riu resorts since it is a “palace”. The food is better? Unless you are at the restaurants at 6:30pm, you will eat at the buffet every night (all the restaurants were filled by 7:30 with elite club reservations). Which is the exact same at Riu Dunamar or Latino. Two pool bars? No. One is entirely reserved for their elite club. Even riu Dunamar and Latino have two pool bars and THEY ARE CHEAPER. That means their one pool bar is absolutely saturated with people. So many people in that one bar area that it smells like sewage. Since its a palace does that mean that the beach area is better than the neighboring riu’s? No. There was so much seaweed that it smelled like actual feces and no one was in the ocean. SUMMARY: Save your money and go to riu latino or dunamar. They are the same exact thing with better chances at eating in restaurants and the same beach AND CHEAPER AND TWO ACTUAL POOL BARS. Also, two adult men in my party got food poisoning and Adrian from customer service looked my in the face and said that maybe they drank pool water. He then directed me to their pharmacy where i spent $45 on medication."

"The room was amazing, had a hot tub outside which we enjoyed. The bed was so comfortable. We had turn down service a few nights which we thought was a sweet touch. Breakfast at the Italian for the adults only was 1000/10. Also breakfast at the main buffet was yummy too. They had turkey sausages! Pools outside were maintained well and lots of room, it didn’t feel super busy which we liked. The beach also had a lot of free cabanas. Johnson at the pool bar was a great bartender! Bogart and Elias at teppanyaki made it a fun night! The silent disco was so much fun!!"
