"Other than all the seaweed on the beach the resort was really nice. I didn’t kno Cancún was known for heavy seaweed. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Food and restaurants were good but nothing to rave about. A place more for relaxation than to let loose. Overall 4 out of 5"

"Our stay at Excellence was truly amazing. We booked a room with a rooftop pool, and it was absolutely stunning—such a unique and relaxing experience. The staff throughout the resort were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our trip even more enjoyable. One area that could use improvement is the sports bar. With only two staff members serving, the service was understandably slow. It would definitely benefit from additional staffing. We also noticed that our rooftop pool had a dark ring around the top, so it could have used a bit more attention in terms of cleaning. It would have been even better if the pool were heated, as we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we had hoped. The restaurants, however, were fantastic. A special shoutout to Rolando at the Grill—he took great care of us and made our dining experience memorable. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to fully enjoy the beach due to the sargassum, but Antonio was so kind and attentive while we spent time there, which we really appreciated. Overall, the resort is absolutely beautiful, and we had such a great time. We were genuinely sad to leave and would definitely consider coming back."

"My girlfriend and I just got back from and needless to say it was the best all-inclusive resort I have stayed at. What stuck out to me the most was how efficient the staff was especially by the pool. One of the workers literally brought two loungers from the other side of the pool and gave us his personal umbrella because the pool was crowded, and asked us where we wanted it. Also all of the staff carry a great attitude. One of the staff members said he valued a great customer experience over a tip when I told him I didn’t have cash. Overall, me and my girlfriend always felt prioritized and attended. Combined with the awesome amenities I give a solid 10/10."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience from start to finish. The staff were consistently rude and unhelpful, which immediately created an unwelcoming atmosphere. It felt less like a relaxing hotel and more like a cheap, drinking-focused environment, which was not what we were expecting at all. One of the biggest frustrations was the pool area. We were rarely able to use it because guests would reserve sunbeds early and leave them unattended for hours, with no intervention from staff. This made it nearly impossible to actually enjoy the facilities we had paid for. The beach was equally disappointing. It was overcrowded with rows of back-to-back sunbeds, leaving very little space to relax, and there were no umbrellas available for shade, making it uncomfortable to spend any real time there. The food was by far the worst part of the stay. The main buffet had very little selection, and the quality was extremely poor. Meals felt repetitive, unappetising, and far below what you would expect from a hotel of this type. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing or enjoyable stay."
