"The headline on Majestic Mirage is we felt as though we got far more value than we expected. We expected a higher end resort experience as a baseline. The level of service- particularly from the staff around the private and community pools was outstanding. We barely had to lift a finger. That's saying a lot coming from a family who typically doesn't wait or need to be "waited on". We are more than comfortable going to the bar and ordering for ourselves. You just don't have to. They are incredibly friendly, and personable staff who go way above and beyond for the guests. Luis will be the high water mark for any other resort visit we have in the future. He was the MVP of our trip. He took the trip from a 10/10 to an 11/10. Others like Abrahim, Enrique, Andreas, Jhonny (to name a few) are cut from the same cloth. Incredible staff. The room looked exactly as advertised. Huge, clean, and modern. Stocked bar. Two large screen TVs. Incredible bath and walk in shower. While it's a relatively large resort, everything is strategically placed and you are never far from amenities. Common lounge areas for guests are placed throughout the grounds so you can dip in, grab beach towels, liquor, snacks, etc or just to escape the heat for a moment or two. Each of these areas are impeccably clean, well kept, and had staff ready and available to assist. The beach was clean, free of seaweed and had wait staff ready and waiting."

"We have stayed at several Excellence resorts, this one i thought was going to be a standout and it wasn't. Food was alright, about the same as the others maybe a tad better. The drinks were good but i ran out often. The Honeymoon suite was the best part of our stay, it was a beautiful room and rooftop. If you have been to one Excellence you've seen them all. Not bad for price but but we will probably stick with Garza Blancas for our future Mexico trips. This resort is a 7.5"

"3 males We worked with at check in reception were not helpful. When checking in they did not give us the basic information such as wifi information. Then the room we were in all of a sudden the wifi stopped working and we had reported this issue over 5 times throughout the day and no one came to repair it. We did not have wifi connection, the room phone did not work and tv was not working as well for the last 2 days. This was so inconvenient for our stay. Will not be returning to this RIU again."

"Fantastic hotel and property. Staff were excellent. I would highly recommend upgrading to privilege. Breakfast and lunch were excellent. We found supper options and quality were not as strong as other hotels we have stayed at in the area. Overall, great vacation."

"Our stay at Planet Hollywood Cancun was unfortunately not a good experience. For such a large and premium resort, several basic things were disappointing. The ACs in multiple areas including the lobby and restaurants were either not working properly or barely effective, which made it very uncomfortable, especially in the Cancun heat. One of the biggest issues was that for five straight days, the resort did not have oranges available. My pregnant wife was dealing with dizziness and oranges were something that helped her, yet despite repeatedly asking, we were told they were unavailable throughout our stay. It was surprising and frustrating that a resort of this size could not arrange something so basic. Additionally, the room service vegetarian options were extremely limited and the food quality was not up to the mark. Overall, the experience did not meet the expectations we had for this resort."

"The welcoming staff was very welcoming but also deceiving. My wife and I arrived and got tricked into a 3 hour long meeting with Unlimited Vacation Club members. We spent to much time with them and in the end, we didn’t purchase a package. But they will press you and press you and send you to different people to try and lock you in. Even after repeatedly telling them no. Other than that, the resort is really clean. Poolside concierge made you feel special. The beach was cleaned daily from seaweed. We also tried booking a romantic dinner in advance and they could not accommodate. The owner of Seaside Grill made us a deal. Buy a bottle of wine and get a private dinner in a wine cellar. That was unique and we enjoyed it. 4 out of 5 stars."
