Disappointing Stay – Poor Check-In Process and Underwhelming Amenities
Unfortunately, our experience at this resort did not meet expectations. The check-in process was frustrating—despite our Expedia booking clearly including our child, we were charged an additional fee upon arrival. There was extensive back-and-forth communication between hotel management and an Expedia representative, but no resolution was provided. Neither party took responsibility for the miscommunication, and we, as guests, were left to absorb the extra cost.
The dining experience was also disappointing. The main buffet offered only two or three main dishes with little variety, and the food was often served cold. The only exception was the reservation-only restaurant, which had slightly more variety. However, the service there was extremely slow, and meals were again served cold or after long delays, making it hard to enjoy the experience.
The beach was another letdown—strong currents and waves made it unsafe and unenjoyable for swimming or relaxing on the sand.
On a positive note, the staff at the restaurants and bars were friendly and attentive, and the evening entertainment with the dancers was a bright spot during our stay.
Despite a few highlights, the overall experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend this resort until significant improvements are made.
