Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere every time I visit Rest. The wine hour and breakfast are great. We always eat at Taste which is excellent. The immediate area is historic and closed down. It’s a great place to stay after a day of wine tasting and exploring the historical towns nearby.

Rooms were wonderful, had everything that we needed. Downtown on Main St and walking distance to Taste a wonderful restaurant and wine tasting rooms. Awesome breakfast, the best we have had for a hotel and friendly staff. Will go again

Our local getaway

We’ve been to Rest a number of times - we love the cozy atmosphere with the fireplace in the lobby. Staff are always friendly. I just celebrated my birthday at Rest and they had a bottle of wine and a balloon waiting for me in the room. Can’t say enough good things about our stay. Love this place.

Quaint, boutique hotel with adorable touches of repurposed window frames, doors & suitcases. Nice wine tasting happy hour from one of the local wineries. Outdoor seating with fire pits. Wonderful breakfast buffet from their partner restaurant “Taste” which we highly recommend for dinner. Danielle was helpful & informative with regards to history & things to see/do.

Awesome hotel in the gold country

Highly recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to the gold country. The service was amazing, hotel is sparkling clean and every amenity is thought of including free snacks, evening wine, breakfast and robes in the room! Beds are comfortable and room size is ample. Wonderful experience. I will be staying here again!

Fantastic hotel. Really friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Room had everything you could possibly need in the way of toiletries, drinks, snacks etc. The happy hour was an excellent opportunity to try some wines whilst chatting to other guests. Shame we were only staying one night!

Tracey and Andrew are excellent at making everyone feel welcome. The hotel is clean and has many small wonderful touches. The two hosts let you know they’ll accommodate your requests. The room was clean with snacks and games available as well as movies on the TV. It was quiet and the plants and patio are inviting.

I can not say enough nice things about this hotel. Andrew and the rest of the employees were simply amazing my entire stay! Andrew especially went above and beyond numerous time for me during my time at Rest Hotel. I highly recommend this lovely hotel! The room was clean and included yummy snacks. I met some of the sweetest people also. The fire pit is cozy. The breakfast included with my stay each morning was incredible with a huge variety! You won't regret staying here.

This is a beautiful small hotel. The staff is committed to a wonderful guest experience and went out of their way to ensure ours. They provide a wine tasting in the charming lobby and feature local wines. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a basket of complimentary treats. We spent a lovely evening drinking wine and chatting by the fire pit on the patio. Even the other guests were friendly. All around A experience, with a special shout-out to the personable Andrew the Awesome at the front desk.
