"Unbelievably very warm room, even though outside was really cold during the rain in the winter. Spacious size, comfortable for us to stay (my husband and I with our 2 little children). The unit was very clean, the only thing to note was that there wasn't anyone on the reception desk, so we had to wait around 10minutes outside. But overall, the experience is pretty good, near the cafes, and an affordable room."

"At the time of writing, this hotel has a 9.2 on Expedia. That is truly absurd. This hotel is old (they don’t call it “historic” for nothing) and run down (featuring peeling wallpaper, a saggy matress, threadbare carpet and a kitchen that looks like it was built in the 80s). Making things worse, there is literally not a single thing of interest in Kumara (it only exists because it is a stop on the West Coast Wilderness Trail).
