The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. The venue is beautiful with a chilled vibe. The breakfast was big, although the same every day. Be careful with the pool. It is made of concrete and damages the clothing and the greenery around the pool although beautiful it leaves your swimsuit with yellow stains. The restaurant is overpriced, but the staff is nice. Close to the hotel there are other restaurants which one can visit with better prices

Paradise at the beach

We stayed for 6 nights and couldn’t ask for more! The place is really a paradise just by the beach. Me and my family had a wonderful time at Cinnamon Hotel! The staff is really friendly and took care of our family in an excellent way!

would stay here again. Overall, the hotel was clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated that aspect of my stay. However, the biggest issue I experienced was the strong smell coming from the toilets, almost as if the sewage system wasn’t working properly. It was unpleasant and made the stay uncomfortable at times. Maybe it was just our room.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is amazing and the room was great. We stayed with waterfront views. The restaurants food is really good, sea food options are fresh and delicious, breakfast is also great. Beach is amazing, and the pool is nice and refreshing. Mysigt boutiquehotell vid stranden i Jambiani.

Vi uppskattade lugnet och det fina hotellområdet med pool. Hotellet hade bra frukost och trevlig och service minded personal. Det vi upplevde mindre positivt var att man inte fick ha några snacks eller annat på rummet och att det inte fanns någon supermarket i närheten.

Great property. Loved the stay here. Advised us of the local rules and things to pay attention to. I enjoyed the beachfront and the ability to lounge basically on the beach. The resturant had good options and get fresh juice. Only drawback was the wi-fi strength and stability inside the room, it kept cutting in and out. Also there was a limit to the amount of devices that would be connected with the code given. Overall, would definetly recommend staying here.

Die Unterkunft und der Strand sind toll. Das Personal sehr bemüht und irrsinnig freundlich. Leider ist die Umgebung hinter dem Hotel nicht sehr einladend. Um etwas zu unternehmen muss man mit dem Taxi nach Jambiani oder Paje fahren. Zu Fuß kann man maximal am Strand die näheren Lokale und Restaurants besuchen

Vistelsen var överlag bra. Mycket trevlig servicepersonal, fint hotellområde och bra mat men lite dyrt. Det var Väldigt blåsigt ute på balkongen så Bungalow Superior var inte värt det eftersom det var svårt att vistas ute. Det stora minuset var stranden där det var väldigt mycket sjögräs och sjöborrar så det var svårt att bada även med badskor. Vi åkte till Paje varje dag istället där det är toppenstränder.

I traveled w/ my best friend & our welcoming was not the warmest. The hotel only took cash which limited us to staying in the hotel for meals. We found what may have been bed bugs as well as multiple roaches throughout our stay which was 5 days. Found one crawling on one of my hats & that’s when we decided to hang all our packs so none of our belongings touched the floor

The Cinnamon Hotel offers an exceptional stay with friendly and professional staff. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the manager, who may also be the owner, was always available to assist. They organized a seamless airport taxi pickup, with the driver waiting upon our arrival. The rooms were spotless, with daily changes of towels and bedding. The shower was excellent, providing both warm and cold water. We appreciated the management's attentiveness, especially when we stayed late; a staff member and a security guard were always present. However, the breakfast options could use more variety for longer stays. For short stays, the breakfast is satisfactory. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. If I visit Zanzibar again, I'll definitely return to Cinnamon.

Le personnel et le Massaï sont adorables ! « Hôtel » pied dans le sable, dans l’ensemble le lieu n’est pas mauvais mais nous passions nos après midi dîner à The Loop accessible à quelques pas par la plage. En revanche, la gérante Aisha n’est pas du tout commode, manque total de compréhension. Nous avons eu une « chambre » communiquante zéro intimité, si vous souhaitez entendre le réveil et les conversations des personnes de la chambre d’à côté c’est l’idéal ! Conversation extérieur, bruit comme si nous n’avions pas de mur. Nous avons eu une chambre avec vue sur la réception et le parking … nous souhaitions changer car la vue sur les voitures de la gérante ne nous plaisait pas, elle n’a rien voulu savoir, accueil glacial de quoi gâcher notre séjour ! No friendly

Wir haben 6 Übernachtungen im Superior Zimmer verbracht. Das zugewiesene Zimmer im EG war OK, aber auch nicht mehr. Ventilator funktioniert gut. Klimaanlage kühlt tagsüber nicht wirklich. Die sonstige Ausstattung war schon sehr Basic und stark beansprucht für diese Preisklasse. Frühstück ausreichend, aber schon eine 2. Tasse Kaffee kostet extra - 3,5 US $ - Wahnsinn! Das Essen im Restaurant war OK aber auch vollkommen überteuert. Es gibt jedoch gute Alternativen direkt nebenan und in der näheren Umgebung. Die Anlage ist gepflegt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das Management ist weder besonders freundlich noch interessiert an den Gästen. Die Lage in südlichen Abschnitt von Jambiani ist gut. Schöner Strand, der hier aber überall gleich ist. Die Umgebung bzw. das Hinterland ist nicht reizvoll. Sehr viele verfallene Gebäude und sehr wenig Infrastruktur. Das gilt aber für alle Unterkünfte in dieser Gegend. Wir würden Jambiani als Urlaubsziel nicht noch einmal wählen. Das Cinnamon Hotel gehört sicher zu den besseren Anlagen in Jambiani, aber aufgrund der extrem überteuerten Restaurant- und Getränkepreise trotzdem nur bedingt zu empfehlen.

I can only speak highly of the Cinnamon Hotel. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the rooms are spacious bungalows just a few meters from the sea, overlooking the pool and the restaurant. The beach of Jambiani, right in front, stretches for several kilometers and offers beautiful walks. The hotel is also environmentally friendly, using glass bottles for water and furnishing with reclaimed wood, refurbished in a functional and tasteful manner. The restaurant serves excellent food at great prices. However, the real standout feature of Cinnamon is its staff. The managers are truly welcoming and kind, and above all, they will offer valuable advice and act as intermediaries between guests and the locals to ensure fair pricing for services. They are familiar with European standards and will protect you from unscrupulous operators—such as those who overcharge for modest boat trips. Keep in mind that in Jambiani, like many other places in Zanzibar, swimming and snorkeling spots are often only accessible by boat due to shallow waters extending several kilometers from the shore, especially during low tide. One last tip for Cinnamon Hotel. We visited in mid-March (low season, humid season), and the ground floor rooms were extremely hot. However, for a modest price difference, we were able to get a room on the first floor, which was well-ventilated, with a terrace and a truly fantastic sea view. We hope to return. Thank you!
