"We recently (Feb, 2026) had an enjoyable trip to Murshidabad and a very pleasant couple of days’ stay at hotel Lake Palace. Operating just over a year, the hotel is in nice condition and good value for the price. The food at the hotel restaurant was absolutely delicious and we had a wonderful dining experience during our stay. "This is a very simple, low budget hotel, but I had a wonderful experience here. Everyone, from the cleaners, to the front desk staff, to management, was incredibly helpful and warm. The Manager, in particular, was especially helpful and warm. At the last minute, he arranged a driver/guide for me to tour Gaur and Adina. During the tour, he called me to make sure that everything was going well! When I tried to offer a commission on the tour, he refused. Malda is not a very tourist oriented town;...
