Note that checkin is at a hotel 5 - 10 minutes from apartment so if you don’t want to carry your bags up lots of stairs, ask the reception how to get to the apartment without using the stairs or use Google maps ( wheelchair access) to find the flat route, although still slightly uphill,"

"Great service by staff, especially at the reception desk and bar. Breakfast not best quality, even though they offer a variety (i.e coffee at expresso machine and “bacon” not good). Location is a 20+ minute walk from main attractions such us pedestrian bridge Pedro and Ines. To go to university of Coimbra definitely need a taxi, but you can come back on foot as long as it is still daylight. "

"No water or coffe on the rooms, they only give you water the first day, staff is good and does what they can but hotel needs to upgrade, tried going to the gym at 5am as I usually do and they only open at 7am, the a\c broke and they had to fix it, their systems are very old and need an urgent upgrade. The pics on Expedia show the beach but it’s actually half a mile away, you have to cross a street and then is a public and you don’t feels safe there. Not the best experience."
