"We had a lakeside room and it was pretty good ONLy issue was that their complementary boat and kayaks were not available. It was raining in the morning but the afternoon was cleared. That said they didn’t operate the boats"

"When I booked it with Expedia, it said restaurant on site and pool with hot tub and pool. The restaurant was non existent. There were advertisements in the elevators for it. When my husband went to use the hot tub for his back, which is why I booked this hotel, it is all torn apart. The pool area is a MESS!!!!! If you are going to stay here this summer, I would NIOT!"

"We were very close to mirror lake. The breakfast was very nice and the free cookies in the lobby was a nice touch too :) Very clean."

"Clean and safe if worn down. The building is showing its age from the cracked rubber on the stairs dum lighting everywhere and walls that need painting. The bathroom door hit the toilet so it didn't open all the way. The ice machine was broken and it had the worst coffee I have had in a long time, from machine not made. The breakfast was typical and the yogurt machine looked interesting though finding bowls was difficult. You get what you pay for safe, clean and serviceable. Too bad no work out area"

"We enjoyed our stay , the one bedroom plus kitchen and beautiful outside sitting area was perfect . We had great weather so we were able to use the pool . Maybe more lounge chairs would be good as they fill up fast . We visited early June , not sure how it is in July -August . Oh the Breakfast was excellent as well as the coffee station ."

"This hotel is worth every dollar! Wonderful, friendly staff with lots of ideas for what to do in the area. Room was spotless with good bed and solid shower. Recommend the terrace for sunset and watching the lights come on in town. It's a short walk to shopping and a riverside brewery. The upstairs bar has creative cocktails and there's a historic great hall to settle in if it's too cool for the terrace. We added the breakfast included option and had 3 options on the menu. Pancakes are huge and filling! Get the fresh blueberries. Lots of history on pictures around property. Great gift shop. Parking garage with covered level and entry to hotel. So many outdoor activities to enjoy including access to the cycling rail trail. We saw many bikes. It's like Lake Placid without the parking nightmare."

"Unfortunately, they were renovating the outside grounds 2 of the 3 days we stayed here. We felt we had no privacy, being on the ground floor, on the corner. There were 2 men dumping wheelbarrows of stone right outside our window and had to keep the drapes closed far more than we wanted. The inside of the room, excluding the men pouring stone, was great! It was nicer than expected. Some of the waitstaff were friendly (Eddie?) and other's seemed snobby (Ozzie). When we 1st arrived and didn't mark our territory on the room yet, my husband went to the front desk to ask for a change of rooms. He was promised a phone call back and never received one. We wanted a different room due to the 2 landscapers being a window pane of glass away. We checked out the pool but didn't use it. It appeared to be clean and well kept. I loved the free 24/7 coffee/tea station. The housekeeping only cleaned our room 1 time and we had to call and request it. The free breakfast was just ok; nothing special. The real disappointment was up until around 7pm on the 3rd night did they open the front and back entrances"
