Disappointed that pool was under construction. As nice as the hotel was we would have gone to a different hotel with breakfast had we known the pool was unavailable. My grandchildren were disapponted. Also disappointed that as nice as staff was in person, they were totally unresponsive via message."

The staff member we spoke with was helpful and acknowledged our concerns, but was unable to issue a refund. "The Ankeny Diner delayed breakfast opening until 9am because of Father's day brunch. There were no signs or notices, and according to another guest the front desk clerk didn't even know about it, nobody at the hotel was made aware of "no breakfast" ahead of time."

"The hotel is convenient to the interstate. It’s very clean and well maintained. Very dog friendly with lots of places to walk the dog. Bathroom amenities were nice and there were water dispenses throughout. Breakfast was very good with many choices. The room had useful appliances including fridge, microwave and coffee maker."

"One night stay. Arrived early, no rooms available told to wait 30 minutes. After 30 minutes watched 2 people check in with none available yet for us. 20 minutes later gal at the desk got us a room. Everything new bright clean. No Issues. Great breakfast. Waited 10 minutes at desk to check out. No one present finally 3 or 4 of the people waiting just left the keys and walked out. 8:30AM the front desk of a sold out hotel and no one present."

"From approximately 8 PM until around 10:30 PM, we heard doors slamming multiple times, as well as large groups of unsupervised children running through the hallway. We called the front desk a few times, and we were told that our room was next to weighted doors on public bathrooms and conference rooms. The hotel staff told us they could not “police everyone.” The next morning, we were woke up from the same door slamming before 6 AM. When we spoke with the front desk staff again this morning,...
