Shangri-La Changchun

"Worst five star and shangri la ive ever stayed at. 1. The reception area smells like the same air freshness many toilets in malls use. Five star hotels shouldn't be using toxic cancer air freshners. 2. The chinese restaurant was good, but one could smell the toxic cancer causing air freshners used in mall toilets. 3. The shower head in the room had a 2$ shower head with a 1$ plastic hose. Though the bathtub was very nice and room relatively clean. 4. Place is very dated, like revisiting the shang back in the 1970s. Never been updated. Though place is in great condition and very clean. 5. The gym and health club was nice and fiting of a 4 and 4.5 star hotel. 6. The lunch and breakfast served the absolutely cheapest foods...at a 5 star hotel. I love buffetts and love 5 star hotel buffets, but this one is a pass."

"Exceptional Hotel, located right on the snow, views up to the main peak and across to the magic carpet, chair lifts and cable cars. The village with restaurants and shops is also very close, just a short walk from the hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful, the breakfast was abundant with a selection of both eastern and western foods. Special thank you to Julie and Kohl for taking such good care of us at breakfast. The Chinese restaurant did an amazing hot pot cooked with coals, and the dumplings were the best!! Thank you Billy! We enjoyed a very spacious suite, which had 2 balconies and 2 toilets. I would highly recommend paying a little extra to enjoy the executive lounge benefits - free food and drinks between 5-7pm daily. I highly recommend this hotel. There is also a free airport shuttle bus included. It represents excellent value for money."

"Clean, spacious and friendly staff, has robot service to deliver things to room. The hotspring staff walk around to clean up the place and make sure safety of the surrounding of each pool of hotspring. cleaniness of the surround"

"All stuff’s attitude is super nice , while the room is not very clean that there is thick dust on bed head and dirties on the tiles in kitchen. The water of shower room is leaking out thru the door. The water heating machine is not working, have to call technician to turn it on manually. "

"Hotel checkin agent did ask me for a ¥2000 deposit even though I've paid in full by a valid credit card when I booked with Hotel.com on-line, but I insisted not to pay the deposit. It was really annoying and I considered it was a harassment. "
