"Decent location downtown and within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and shops. Parking was an additional fee (which is typical in a city) and located down the street a few blocks at a sister property but wasnt too difficult as once we parked we walked everywhere until we checked out. The pipes made a very loud sound in the walls for several minutes when turning on the shower and the floors could have been cleaner but the bed was comfy and the room decor felt outdated but was in decent condition and clean. There is a coffee shop located in the lobby but not many other hotel amenities overall. It was fine for us for an overnight stay on a busy race weekend. Would stay here again for the price and location. "
"We had a wonderful two-night stay. I could not have asked for more. I only wish I could’ve stayed another night, but I had to get back home. Fantastic option if you’re looking for a getaway that has everything you need. Kayaking and paddleboarding are included with the reservation, which was pretty cool. The location is convenient. 15 minutes from the Saint Pete Beach area and 20 minutes from downtown."
"Gorgeous view, wish the property had a better pool side outdoor bar and menu. It was lacking a lot. Think with all the cars there, self
Parking for guests there should be security. Any one can drive in and access our vehicles. Also anyone can drive in and park and access pool and the beach. For the Don and the prices they need to up their game in these areas. "
"Rooms were dated and poor layout. Most elevators were out of service and the paddle boats were also not working.
They had an area to feed the ducks but it was covered in bird poop over everything.
The on site food was sub par for the cost and that is coming from Chicago level pricing.
Fairly nice lobby and hotel bar but other than that it was pretty dingy and a lot of maintenance issues we were told work was being done but only saw them working on thoae issues 2 of the 5 days.
The staff were friendly and accomodating for the most part and the sister resort down the beach was nice with campfire for smores and cool aquarium in the restaurant for the kids."
"The room smelled so strongly of disinfectant that I could not stay there. I felt like they were trying to cover up a worse smell. We tried airing out the room but nothing helped and then I got an asthma attack from it. The bed had clearly been slept in and the covers just pulled up. The door was open when we arrived--we were a little scared to go in. When we shut the door, the gaps on the top, bottom and sides were large enough that we could see outside--which means someone could see INside! After about 15 minutes we decided to cut our losses and hightailed it out of there. Truly a nightmare!"
"Overall, we found the hotel to be cute. The staff was very welcoming. The beds were very comfortable.
The decor was contemporary and funky unfortunately, they have one sliding door that either doubles as the shower door or the bathroom door so you can’t use both at the same time and have privacy in both rooms. Also, the way the mirror is positioned you can actually see someone showering from the master bedroom. There’s also the vanity sink is in the master bedroom itself so if someone is sleeping and someone else wants to use the vanity they cannot do it without disturbing the other guest.
There were exposed outlets with no outlet plates on our balcony and wires exposed hanging out of the ceiling, which can’t be safe and certainly is unsightly.
The breakfast buffet was all junk food- like waffles, cereal, bagels. There was no fruit so if you’re hoping for healthy breakfast options, it’s not the best.
Overall, I feel like it was good value for the price, but they definitely need to do a little cleanup and attention to detail. I would still definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends. I just hope they read this review and make those adjustments.
