Excellent hotel with apartment / condo suites

Absolutely wonderful premises and the staff is exceptional! I travel across many African countries and have stayed in premium hotels. This hotel has treated me like family and remember me between visits. The manager personally checks in on me several times during stay. Very secure, restaurant is very good and well priced. I highly suggest for business , group or family travels . Safe, clean, friendly, and very quiet.

This is a very nice property to stay. It’s convenient to 2 large shopping malls - very close by that have every store available. What I think I liked best about staying at this City Lodge was the staff. They were more than happy to help with any request but then were surprised and so grateful at even the smallest tip offering. They had no expectation of receiving a tip and all seemed to just want to help. This is the kind of place that is memorable because it feels safe and someone is looking out for you. Thank you from a grateful American.

Home away from home when travelling

Amazing staff, I have been using this hotel for the past 3 years when I visit a few times each year. It is actually condo full mini apartment flat with kitchen sink , microwave, fridge and plates etc. kitchen table. Nice balcony for each unit. They have family 2 bedroom suites with 2 bathrooms as a full apartment with kitchen and living room as well above foyer. Price is VERY reasonable. Park your car under your condo , nice set up. The abandoned mall used for paint ball activities behind the hotel is a little ugly and the small river smells sometimes. That’s the only down side. I still feel at home and will go back again. Staff treat me like family, they remember me and go out of their way to help. Top manager Brownwin and her entire team are very friendly and professional. It’s a very quiet location and for me is perfect when using Ubers to travel as a Canadian visiting . Safe, quiet , food is amazing, and close to Eastgate and Bedfordview main shopping malls with easy uber pickup.

Wonderful friendly, helpful staff, except I had to call in twice to confirm booking as could not be found. Super friendly, helpful staff, beautiful reception, venue, dining room area, amazingly spacious suite!! :-) I would include a dish drying cloth and salt and pepper, possibly Nescafe coffee sachets. Unfortunately the outlook was awful-the building opposite has been neglected and is an eye-sore; its as if the hotel is in a bad part of the city. If fast growing pepper or viburnum trees could be planted next to the hotel property fence, this would create a beautiful vista and block the immensely ugly view, otherwise a fantastic facility with covered parking directly outside the unit with extra covered parking. Thank you.

The rooms are pleasantly furnished and quite roomy. The beds are comfy; the bathrooms spacious and well maintained. The grounds are beautiful with many nice places to sit. The food is tastefully prepared in a lovely dining room. The staff is pleasant and always accommodating . There is very little nearby so a car is necessary

Good location between Johannesburg CBD & the airport, if you need to get to Johannesburg CBD for business. I got a room with 2 singles which wasn’t great, but the facilities are good enough get through job done in a safe & clean manner.

Happy and content customer

The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The room has everything one could need during a business trip (without having to call reception). The fresh free takeaway breakfast muffins always fill the gap when rushing out the door in the morning.
