"The two main reasons I booked this hotel were because it advertised air conditioning and airport transfer, so if either of those are important to you, I would not recommend staying here. There was no working AC, and the rooms felt very old and dusty. I struggled with allergies every night during our stay.
The most uncomfortable part was that someone entered our room while we were inside to close the window we had opened because there was no AC. This felt like a major invasion of privacy and...

"O hotel é bem localizado e a equipe muito solicita. O quarto é antigo, mas a cama é boa. O banheiro é pequeno, mas estava limpo. A entrada do hotel diria que é a pior. Ele fica no 2 andar de um prédio. O térreo desse prédio é meio estranho e o hall de escada é sujo, mas nada que atrapalhe a estadia."

"The staff eventually addressed our concerns and moved us to a better room and provided good care.
However, I still cannot comprehend the 4 star status that Expedia shows for it. In my view at best it is a 2 star property. It has extremely basic rooms and no amenities."

"I loved the Alstadt. The location was perfect for me as I had yet to visit Prague and could walk everywhere from this point.
The staff was very welcoming. The hotel had everything I needed; especially the old school charm of an old city.
I would highly recommend the Alstadt."

"This is just an OK hotel. The building is old and beautiful, but our room was not. Although it was clean, it was very small, austerely decorated, and overlooked an alley/airshaft. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen at a hotel. My husband and I are both on the small side, but for a larger person the bathroom would have been extremely difficult to maneuver around, especially to get to the toilet. There was no bar soap in the bathroom, only body wash. However, there were no washcloths...
