"This is a beautiful location and charming property. The staff are attentive and friendly. The grounds are lovely. However, the amenities mentioned on the listing were not available during our stay. We had no wifi or toiletries. After requesting soap and bottled water, we eventually did receive those. Lastly, we requested breakfast for 7am the night before but were not served until about 8:30am. The staff were very eager to help and we slept well but we did feel the listing for this property was...

"There are two Kakwele Lodges. The one we stayed at was further from the airport in a back street of Lusaka, about a 20 minute drive. We were charged $15 for each of the 4 journeys to and from the airport, which I considered to be excessive.
The room at the lodge was adequate, but a little cramped (especially the shower). Lighting was dim with no bedside or desk light. There were broken loose tiles around the small pool.
Service was friendly but less than prompt.

"I've stayed twice now at The Prince Charles Hotel. It is a really nice new clean building, with comfortable beds. But it's in an odd location far from almost everything (it was close to a residence I was visiting). But it's so quirky- some rooms have no external windows. There are usually no hangers in the wardrobe, or available at reception. In your room you can hear everything echoing in the hallway. The shower is an eight-headed sprayer on the wall of the bathroom, so EVERYTHING in the...

"We arrived at the location to check in and the groundskeeper could not understand why we were there. We called the number listed and the owner didn’t k ow why we were there and said that he rpirperty wasn’t even listed on Expedia!!! BUT Expedia deducted the money from our account!!!! So we looked at a room that was open (which was the room we booked) and it was being used as the trash room!!! Stacked to the ceiling with debris and trash!!!
It was the worst service and experience to date...

"The room was not only clean but had "character". The bathroom was spacious and had both shower and bathtub. And, what really was extraordinary is the restaurant and the lounge / outdoor pool space, both wether you sit there and work or just chill. Last but not least, the staff is as friendly and helpful as it gets. This is the pl where to stay in Lusaka. "
"Great hotel in Central Lusaka, half an hour from the airport (600 kwachi cab ride). Feels upscale. Good food in the restaurants and breakfast buffet. Clean room, nice and quiet, good neighborhood, surprisingly affordable. I stayed two nonconsecutive nights and had an equally excellent experience both times. "
