Khách sạn Kaikoura Flat , Kaikōura

"It was good overall but the reason I didn’t rate a 5 star was because there was either bed bugs or flea in one of the rooms. I got bites all over the body and very itchy. I still got another 10 days on the road so that makes it quite frustrating. The place is great, just need to deal with the bug bites."

"The place was great! Maybe not for everyone but perfect for anyone with kids or just looking for something a little different. We are seniors but have done a lot of camping and this was glamping at its best. We picked the yurt which had an outdoor kitchen and an external bathroom. Everything felt really authentic yet still very modern. It all was just there as one would expect from a nice hotel but presented in a different way. Kind of a cowboy camp or depression era type of a kitchen outside...

"Good roomy unit with useful dishes etc for meals - very handy New World 50m down the road. Good wifi."

"Loved my stay here, large space with a view of the snowy mountains and farm land. Comfy bed. Will be booking again."

"Nice have the golf course right there on your doorstep! The meal we had at the restaurant was delicious. Probably the best dinner out i have had in the last 10 Years!!"

"John was incredibly helpful and hospitable. The location is fabulous and the room was beautifully appointed. We had a balcony overlooking the ocean."

"Booked a 2 bedroom unit. It was great, plenty of space. This property is on a main highway but we didn't notice any noise from traffic. Would stay again."

"Helpful staff, proximity to town, clean & warm. Only negative was disability bathroom not draining and always wet."

"This recently renovated property had friendly owners, was spacious and quiet. Would recommend for travellers on a budget."

"The owner of this property was really lovely and accommodating. We have come back a few times now. Each time for different reasons and sometimes needing abit of extra help. We’ve never had a problem with him not helping us out which we appreciate very much and are very thankful for."

"The wifi was terrible. Not sure if that's because my room was the furtherest away or it's just bad in general. The room itself was nice and the toilets and showers were good. I told them I would be late arriving and they told me where to find the key. Overall the stay was good it was just the wifi that was the issue because I wanted to work from my room so it was kind of important."

" This motel is not fit for purpose. Our room was dirty. Carpets grubby and stained, duvet stained. Outside area full of detritus, and unfinished paving at the front of the room. The host had said that there were only 2 members of staff to clean all the units. The owner was on holiday. This accommodation was well below the standard expected, the photos online were misleading at best, and did not show the poor and dirty quality of the apartment. There were no other rooms available. We left the...

"Glenburn Coastal Retreat receives the highest possible rating from us. We travel a lot, and this accommodation is among the absolute best we have stayed at. The house is fantastic, and every detail is well thought out. The location by the sea is wonderful."

"Was not happy with reception/owner - advised her that we would have to cut our trip short by a day due to a family situation that we heard about via phone as we were arriving at Bella Vista Kaikoura. Owner not helpful, insisted on full 2 day payment and offered no other options. We only stayed the one night and returned home the next day feeling disappointed by lack of empathy for our situation."
