Stay Away!

Old, run down. Smells terribly of smoke. Very shady area. Went outside to grab something from my truck and there were two people checking it out....we had only been there 5 minutes!! Needless to say, we left immediately.

Their Was a wet washcloth on the floor in the shower there was ants everywhere around the bed it was filthy the ceiling tiles were all wet and stained in the lobby

Worst stay ever

This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Was offered drugs as we were walking to our room. The room was dirty, the towels were filthy dirty. We seen 6 cockroaches just walking into bathroom when first arriving in our room! We left, they refused our money back. Called hotels.com and they were able to reimburse us $20.00 which we felt was better than nothing. Will never rent a room at an econo lodge again!

dirty , depressing vibe

If you just got out of jail , that is the only way you would be happy staying here. the hallway carpets are blackened with dirt. I opened the door to my room and a cockroach ran out. black mold in the shower. the criminals staying here look out there windows and watch you unload your car. the fair rating that this place currently has is way too high.

Não gostei. limpeza, cheiro de cigarro, frigobar não funcionava, o café da manhã é um pacotinho que nos entregam na mão para comermos no quarto... alimentos abertos, etc.

Awful service and room

When I had booked the room online I reserved a king bedroom. When we checked in, no one was in the lobby to help us. A young boy came in and told us he’d get his grandfather. He proceeded to go outside to get a man, that we’d just walked past on our way in. They had changed my room reservation to two queens, but I ended making them switch it back to the king. There was only one person on the staff that knew how to make the keys for the rooms. When we finally got to the room, we were both going to shower. We had the surprise of the shower not even spraying, an old shampoo from the previous people who stayed. Later we found out the toilet didn’t even work! By the time we realized this, the desk was already closed. I also was under the impression that there was a pool, it was closed down though. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone to stay.

They told me that they have a pool and it was open in the summer.. we get there and there is a pool but it hasn't been open in years.. there website says they have a open pool.. I'm very pissed because my son and i was there for a baseball recruiting for college baseball and he needed a pool to loosen up.. i dont think i will go threw Expedia again because of this experience

The problem I had with the property was how run down it was. Our first problem were our key cards didn’t work and one of the owners just used a master key to let us in the room. We finally got working keys. The owner offered us a smoking room for an extra deposit which was fishy since you can’t smoke in ANY hotel in the state of Michigan. We inspected the room and found the bathtub to be unsuitable to bath in. We left the hotel and returned a few hours later to the entire first floor hallway smelling like marijuana and cigarette smoke. Woke up the next morning to a roach in the bathtub. I packed immediately and decided enough was enough, even though we were booked to stay one more night. We we were checking out the owner wanted to charge us for an early check out. When I told him about the cigarette smoking and drug use going on he acted really surprised which shocked me seeing that him and his family live on the property. I told him I would be contacting the state department and local law enforcement on my way out of town and he decided to refund us for the remaining night. We checked out and stayed at a Red Roof Inn.

First it took them 10 minutes for somone to make me a key to get into the room. Toilet did not flush properly , you had to hold down lever to flush. Poor tv reception, every channel had snow, it varied from channel to channel. Room smelled OK but the halways reaked of cigarettes. Power outlet in bathroom had a gapping hole at the top where multiple bugs were cralling in and out of the walls! Bring a can of raid if you want to stay here.

This hotel was dirty and not in good repair. The front office had a very bad odor. Carpet in hallways and rooms were disgusting. Luckily we only stayed 1 night and would not stay again.

A flop house for local derelict residents

This place is basically for weekly rentals for long term stay, local alcoholics, not at all suitable for travelers. For some reason there was absolutely no rooms left in Battle Creek except for 3 low budget motels, I took a gamble on a chain that I had a pleasing experience at their Bay City location. This one however was a flop house for local derelicts who lived there in a nasty, desolate, run down part of town. Wish I had just stayed 20 miles away in Kalamazoo, much better choice of hotels.

Jeepers Creepers

When checking in I was asked whether I wanted a smoking or non-smoking room. I asked for a smoking room. In response I was told I'll be put on the first floor by a outside door and that I could go outside to smoke. Inside the room the air conditioner/fan was broken and layers of dust covered the unit. The room was stuffy and hot. The microwave oven looked so gross on the inside that I couldn't use it. In the bathroom half of the bathroom was without light. Several of the electrical outlets were uncovered and/or didn't work. The television was probably 20 years old. The bed spreads had on them what clearly were semen stains. The carpeting was tattered.

The carpet throughout was very dirty and there was an odor through the building as well The bathroom was in disrepair cracks and peeling on the ceiling in the bathroom I asked at check in when the continental breakfast will be ready they told me 6 to 9 I went up to the front at 7:50 and the door was locked and looked inside nothing was set out when I went back at after after 8:30 AM went to the desk when I went to use the toaster it was very filthy try to scrub it with a napkin to make it somewhat sanitary and they had to make up breakfast from the back room behind the check-in counter

Run down and needing repairs. Don't even think there is breakfast or coffee because even though it says it is included nothing was set out. Will not stay there again. Pass this place by. Not the best experience.

There was a very strong, strange smell in the hallways and room. Bed could have had a mattress pad instead of sheet over bare mattress. Heat register was knocked off the wall and just sitting there. Cleanliness of room/bathroom seemed okay.
