Hotel Miyajima Villa

4/10 Poor

"The staff could barely speak English. When I arrived at 2 pm I couldn’t get my room and was not even offered to rest at the lounge. It was a rainy day and I had to kill time outside until 3 pm. Also I wasn’t told that the vanity essentials were located at the front desk and that caused inconvenience during the time I stayed at this hotel. I didn’t eat there and cannot comment on food quality but I appreciated the free and good quality coffee."

"The location of the hotel is excellent and the staff were polite and helpful. The ferry service to and from Miyajima was convenient and the views around the property were beautiful. However, the rooms felt quite dated and in need of renovation. There was also a noticeable smell throughout the room and parts of the hotel, which affected the overall comfort of our stay. Given the price, I expected more modern accommodations and a fresher atmosphere. Overall, the service and location were strong points, but the condition of the rooms and the odor were disappointing."

"Absolutely stunning hotel with incredible staff. I highly recommend choosing an ocean view room with your own private onsen. Amazing! The hotel also offers all you can eat ice cream, sodas, coffee, wine and spirits while enjoying this on the roof top with impeccable views. What is so nice about staying in Miyajima is that after the crowds leave for the day, it’s so quiet and calm. Will post definitely come back to this hotel."

"Amazing hotel. Categorized as 3-star but lives up to 5-star reputation. Brand new. Elegant Japanese design. Big rooms. Comfortable beds. Excellent service. Just across from the ferry port that takes you to Miyajima island. Might be a bit far from central Hiroshima, but its advantages outweigh this single disadvantage. Very much recommend!"
