"A great Kamakura base, right across from the beach. A mixture of ryokan charm and modern Japanese comfort. It is conveniently situated, just a 25-minute walk from Kamakura Station. There is a lovely cafe next door, with information available in the accommodation. The host is very friendly and helpful. The accommodation itself is lovely, featuring two comfortable single beds, an armchair, a mini-fridge, and a spa bathtub. There is a narrow staircase to enter, but this just adds to its charm....

"Great ryokan, very comfortable. Very helpful staff, great breakfast. It was quite warm in the room even with the ac but we still enjoyed our stay."

"The whole experience started off well by the welcoming reception of the person staffing the desk. Every one of the different people were sincerely friendly and wanting to help. The private bath was great! I highly recommend Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa."

"虫が多く埃がすごかった"

"お布団がフカフカで気持ち良かったです！"

"This place is so great, and the host is so kind & helpful."

"明らかに人手不足。まず、部屋のテーブルが何かこぼれた跡があってべたべたしていてがっかり。階段もホコリが溜まっていました。布団も自分たちで敷くシステム。朝食も冷凍庫のパンを自分たちでトースターで焼く。1人3個まで。全然お値段に見合っていないここ最近で1番ガッカリしました。"

"良かった"

"It has at a good location and quiet place. It’s a private house for our group. Free drinks, snacks and laundry. Definitely recommend to our friends."

"nice meal"

"Great place with deep spiritual and cultural roots. A bit of a hidden gem - clean and modern accommodation combined with 600 years of Samurai history. Temple Priest and Kendo master, Tendou Akitsuki is a great host! Good base to explore Gunma and the alps from."

"When we arrived, the host was super friendly, accommodating and patient. We came in December and the unit was quite cold and we tried to adjust. The bathrooms are shared, the shower was not but there was 2 shared showers, super cold area and floor (don’t think it was heated). Price, area, convenience, local eats very good. Be prepared for very little English. Thank you for hosting us , I would stay again."
