"Clean rooms extremely helpful and friendly staff. The Bell captains were excellent with arranging transportation. The 711 in the basement is open 24 hours. Breakfast buffet is good, probably overpriced, but aren’t they all? And all those Japanese toilets, they speak for themselves Wholeheartedly recommend this property."

"We stayed at the other location in Shimokitazawa last time we visited, and although the Shinjuku location is nice it is definitely a step below. The onsen was very busy, and a lot of people who seemed less likely to follow the onsen "rules" (brining phones inside, not washing before entering pool, etc). The elevators are very slow, and I found the room layout not very functional (we've stayed in small rooms before, this one was small and felt like the choices prioritized "design" or looking good...

"The staff was fluent in English and very helpful. Clean room and the food and beer in the bar downstairs was very good. There also an izakaya in the basement that was excellent. The only issue was the weird smell in the hallways. It’s a gray place to stay, but it’s obviously not a five star hotel. But for what it is it’s excellent."
