Tulia Zanzibar Unique Beach Resort.. UNIQUE being the operative word. This resort is by far one of a kind and it completely exceeded mine and my partners expectations. Wonderful relaxing resort set in beautiful gardens. Very welcoming friendly staff. Excellent food with much variety. Once a week there is a fantastic barbecue served along with a local band playing for everyone to learn some local dances. The bungalows are very most comfortable and very private. There is a wonderful jetty at the beach where you can sit and watch the sunset. Private dining is also available at the jetty or beach. Lovely hotel for couples especially honeymooners.

Loved everything about this Hotel. Staff made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a beach front double room which was absolutely beautiful. Tours to Stonetown and Spice Tour ( and others) can be booked from Hotel. Meals were amazing. Looked forward to the evening visit around 6pm of the Bush Babies and fed them bananas. The green flag idea was wonderful - as were the cocktails!

We visited The Island at Pongwe as the final stop on our honeymoon to Tanzania and Zanzibar and it was the perfect way to conclude an incredible trip. We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. Ingredients and dishes were varied and akin to fine dining. Resort felt very private although effectively right on the beach....

Small and classy property where you are a name not a number. Staff went out of their way to please and hotel prices for food and drink excellent. I travelled with two teenagers and location on a great beach with a water sports centre on site could not have been better

Amazing resort, perfect for relaxing and the friendliest staff with the F&B team going above and beyond. We had a lovely private dinner on the beach on our last night which was a perfect end to an unbelievable stay. Highly recommended and will be back.

The customer service at this Hotel is second to none. I am particularly impressed with the food and Beverages Manager Mr Kalei. He is very hardworking and is on top of everything. This is a lovely quiet each front hotel, we stepped from our door onto the sand. Roo.s are good and the staff were wonderful! We stayed in four hotels in zanzibar, the staff here are exceptional, very attentive and friendly. Hotel even supprised us with a free trip to the 'rock resaurant' and star fish beach! We would stay again in a heart beat...

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Zanzibar and would highly recommend it, especially for families or anyone looking for a relaxed break rather than the more touristy feel of some of the other beaches and resorts. The hotel is beautifully located close to the beach, with each room being very spacious and easily accessible. The breakfast buffet is vast and really good with crepes and omelettes made to order! If you are looking for a proper escape to a quiet paradise then look no further. The Marafiki bungalows are set in lush greenery with steps down to the sea. There is a lovely pool but no real sandy beach, though with swimming shoes, you can get down easily to swim when the tide is in. The restaurant is fantastic with a brilliant breakfast menu setting you up for the day and a wide variety of choices for the evening meal, all beautifully cooked. Incredibly family-friendly hotel. Fantastic service - from the head chef to the front house manager to the housekeepers, everyone working to make sure you got what you needed. As a family with 3 small children we very much appreciated this level of attention. Drawbacks were a mediocre kids club and lots of stairs up and down to the rooms. Food and entertainment were abundant and good, but not great. Was fully booked for most of the time we were there but didn't feel crowded.
