It’s extremely challenging if you encounter another vehicle from the opposite direction. The amenities are lacking. "Property has potential to be a luxurious hotel- beautiful oceanfront property but seems money isn’t put back into it. Pictures are not accurate- especially of bathroom. Hallways are gross- carpet is filthy- and hallway walls need some help. Room itself isn’t bad- cute decor and clean but our room had water damage near sliding door. Beds are very uncomfortable. "Charming boutique hotel—cozy, stylish, and well kept. The staff are genuinely courteous and attentive, offering helpful tips and warm service throughout. Food is excellent (breakfast is a standout), making the on-site dining worth staying in for. Convenient location too: about 15 minutes from the center of Monemvasia, so you’re close to the action but in a quieter spot. Overall, great value for a relaxed, quality stay."

"The accommodation was lovely - clean, warm and welcoming. The view of the sea is amazing and the location (near gates of castle but within the castle walls is unbelievably magical. Highly recommend!"

"A lovely location and unique building layout. Our room was great, the bed comfortable, and the rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good with freat service. The only reasons that we didn't give it an excellent was the lack of a toilet seat (which they remedied by opening the second bathroom) and the cooking tools were very limited."

"5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. We can’t praise him enough for the warmth of his interactions with us! As an example, our young-adult daughter became mildly sick during our stay, and Greg provided tea and offered to check up on her when we left her in the hotel by herself for half a day. The hotel is a short walk from a small beach and town harbor and near several excellent dining options....
