He never could find our reservation. After about 30-40 minutes he finally gave us a room as a new booking. No breakfast as advertised except for some yogurt cups and coffee. The hotel charges $5 for each shuttle ride. There were no cups in the room at all. "

The faucet in the bathtub doesn’t switch over fully when turning on the shower. The closet door wouldn’t close fully. It just wasn’t what I had hoped. "We arrived at the hotel thinking it might have been recently updated inside, but that definitely was not the case. The outside of the building was full of trash, and there was even vomit near the area where our room was located, which was really unpleasant to see when arriving. We specifically booked a non-smoking room, but the room smelled strongly like smoke as soon as we walked in. The king-size bed only came with three small pillows, which felt pretty inadequate, and the room was also lacking towels. The one positive thing I can say is that we did not encounter any bed bugs. However, the photos on this site do not accurately show what the hotel actually looks like in person. We stayed for two days while attending an event, and fortunately we were gone most of the day and only came back to the room to sleep."

"The room was okay clean. The staff was friendly. BUT...there were peoole fighting, cussing, screaming outside the lobby and inside the lobby until after midnight both nights we were there. Could not sleep. Thought there would be a shoot out outside from the violent fights, cars peeling out. Just insane. We were surprised that the staff did nothing. There was extremely loud music playing well into the night. We don't know if the music came from the hotel restaurant, lobby or cars outside. We were too scared to leave our room and investigate. Its not a bad hotel, the breakfast was good. It's a shame that the company allows these kinds of things to go on. It seems like the lpud violent party was not staying at the hotel. I think they were locals that go there to party. So terrible. "

"Even the shops and restaurants that AREN'T nearby SEEM nearby because the streetcar stops eery 10 minutes outside the front door of the hotel. This gives visitors easy access to almost everything one might want to do...Country Club Plaza and River Market shopping and restaurants, WW1 Museum, Union Station, The Arabia Steamboat Museum, the Nelson Atkins art museum (and others) and lots of restaurants."
