"Hotel Vellir was a great place for our trip to Iceland. Rooms were very clean and staff were super helpful and friendly! When informed we would be leaving early in the morning, staff offered to make us "to-go" breakfast bags in case we didn't have time to sit down. Location is especially good if you have a rental and plan on exploring the southern coast and city. They helped make our trip amazing and I highly recommend them!"

"The hotel looked great and the beds were very comfortable. However, the booking didn't include access to the spa so it costs 6000 isk per person extra if you were expecting to use it. Also, I almost felt the employee was not happy to greet us when we arrived, check out was great though!~"

"The room was beautifully appointed and very clean. We opted for the Sapphire suite with access to the hot tub. (side note- this is advertised as being private, but it is on a shared balcony with no dividers). We also chose to include breakfast and that was wonderful. There were many hot and cold food options and a good variety of beverages as well. Great offering especially when traveling with kids. You should absolutely visit the spa if you get a chance. It was the best way to end our trip....

"This was a very basic bare bones accommodation. The cabin was fairly small but the furnishings, floors, fixtures were all old, musty and smelly. Bathroom in particular was smelling quite badly 😢 On the positive side, the location of the cabin was great and quite close to Keflavik airport.
