"Having stayed at the hotel before it changed hands, we decided to return because of its convenient location close to the station. We’re so pleased we did! Our stay was just as enjoyable as before. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our visit. The hotel was clean and well looked after, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. "So sad to see a what was once probably a lovely hotel now looking very tired and in need of updating. No aircon, marked carpets and tired bathroom. The only plus was the lovely receptionist who was very professional. When we arrived for breakfast, 80% of the tables had dirty plates and cups left and no-one clearing anything away yet there were 3 staff members milling around the bar area. Coffee machine out of order too!"

"Large clean room with king size bed and seating area with TV, tea making facilities with fridge and large en suite. The room overlooks farmland. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked and the hosts were full of interesting information about the surrounding area."
