"O pessoal do hotel é maravilhoso, me ajudou em vários temos que eram fora do escopo da minha estadia no hotel. Conseguiram um transporte para o hotel, me conseguiram outro hotel e as meninas que trabalham lá são ótimas. Os quartos são lindos, com decoração africana e muito limpos. O restaurante tem muitas opções de comida, com preços excelentes. A piscina estava muito limpa e boa. Uns 7 minutos andando da praia. "

"I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this hotel owner. We paid $2,700 for what was clearly sold to us as a 3-day tour, but after payment it was suddenly reduced to only 2 days with no proper explanation or refund.
To make matters worse, we were left at the airport without any transportation arranged, despite this being part of what was discussed. Since then, the owner has ignored our messages and refused to respond or take responsibility.

"MINUS 10 STARS!!
Went from bad to worse from the time we arrived.
From having a mess in 1 room since they were building a bed, no toiletries at all as mentioned,
Water was not working properly; lights went off in 1 room and the ac and water not working in another.
Then went in total darkness with no back-up generator available and we were told it happens all the time.
Staff was hard to find even with a 'reception' area.
All around a horrible experience. Plus, we forgot to take 1 item...

"Just to be clear: there is no pool. And the hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. But the service is 5 stars. And they clean every day, and change the bed and towels every 2 days"

"I’m happy to strongly recommend Terry’s Villa to anyone traveling to Nungwi. I stayed there with my family, and we had a spectacular experience from start to finish.
The villa itself was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — especially appreciated after long days exploring Zanzibar’s beautiful beaches. Although the villa is located a few minutes from the beach, it’s still within easy walking distance, which made getting around very convenient.
A special mention goes to the manager, Shivji, who...

"The hotel is even more beautiful in person. The rooms are lovely, they have a choice of pillows (!!!) nice toiletries, all vegan! There are many other amenities in the room too. Even a TV that you can cast to from your device & nets on the windows/doors so you can enjoy the air without being inundated with insects! They have mosquito nets on a rail around the bed so you don't have to tuck it all in. (IYKYK). They fumigate regularly. The gardens are lovely, beautiful flowers/trees/plants, a little endemic forest and herb garden! The beach is gorgeous, it is private up to a point but there are beach boys and people selling stuff on the beach - they're not intrusive. There aren't many sea urchins. The reef walk provided by the hotel is excellent. The pool is very nice, they have yoga/water aerobics/village tour each day and other games if you want. The food is great, large variety at dinner, different themes most nights, kids sections and cups/plates. Great desserts! Fussy eaters will be fine. There is evening entertainment which is a bit hit and miss (singing) but generally good like silent cinema and local culture displays. The BEST part of the hotel is the staff. They can't do enough for you, they're so lovely, engaging, not intrusive, just love all of them. I can't say enough good things about them honestly <3 Abdul, Musa, X2, Isaac, Lucy, Lucia, Furahi, Salome, Abubakar, not enough word count to thank everyone! Can't wait to come back. Thank you for a memorable stay xxx"
"Rooms clean, staff friendly, good service and always with a smile. Never seems crowded and always sunbeds etc available. Not much for kids to do although we don’t have kids I would say this is more of an adults destination in general. We stayed after doing safari in Kenya and paid less than those booking a package and then doing day safaris to mainland. So booking separately works out better all round. Beach is tidal and a walk on the reef with a local is well worth it discuss a price or give $10-$20 and I guarantee you will see more than walking alone"
"During a recent break from a business trip in Dar Es Salaam, I decided to pop over to Zanzibar and spend two nights at the Kendwa Rocks Hotel. The resort is expansive and features an impressive variety of amenities and activities to keep you busy, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a dynamic beach vacation. It is worth noting for incoming guests that the property appears to be undergoing some massive renovations right now. Consequently, it is currently not in its peak aesthetic condition, and there are a few construction-related detours required just to get from one side of the property to the other.Despite the ongoing work and the minor navigation hurdles, the hotel serves as an excellent oasis to disconnect and lose yourself from the outside world for a few days. The disruptions are easily overshadowed by the hospitality. The staff members were each incredible—always friendly, helpful, and eager to ensure a great experience. Their exceptional service truly made a lasting impression. I thoroughly enjoyed my time winding down here, and if my travels ever bring me back to Zanzibar, I will absolutely book another stay at this hotel."
"Little sanctuary with direct beach access and sunrise facing pool. Beautiful spacious rooms with character. Staff are the best, super kind and accommodating. Thank you for checking me in late night and open reception for check out/bag drop early morning. Can highly recommend."
