"Checked in, receptionist was lovely. Climbed a load of stairs, along some corridors, down some stairs and up some more, finally got to our room, not a towel to be seen. Away back up and down all the stairs to ask for towels and then back up and down all the stairs again. Finally got to relax after driving all the way from Cornwall. Carpark was good, room was ok. "I love staying at Motel Ones! This was my second time at one and they are always so clean and nice. I love the bar; they have a great gin selection. The rooms are small but they use the space well and they’re very clean and modern. This was very conveniently located as well - close to the train station, Princes Street Gardens, and the castle/royal mile."

"Prefer to have tea stations in the room. Somewhat noisy someone kicking trash cans at 3am & the window didn’t fully close. But overall great stay for the price"

"We enjoyed our stay at The Resident as it was well located to what we had planned and the staff was quite pleasant. However, as far as value - we felt the room to be small for the price paid. We also felt the bathroom tub was quite dangerous to get in and out of — as one had to step very far up and INTO it without a bar to hold or a proper door.
