"Great hotel. We ended up staying at Hotel Laki instead of the bungalows because it was more convenient. The staff were so kind. One of the nicest we've encountered in Iceland. - The receptionist changed our booking month when we got it wrong and helped us cancel one of our double bookings because of the snowstorm. - The restaurant staff, Arna and Jose, gave my daughter boxed apple juice, bread to feed the horses inc baby horses nearby, gave a small gift to my daughter, and a small cake when my daughter told them it was my birthday. Spacious rooms, great bar area with fun games to play during the snowstorm. "

"The hotel is rural but looks nice with a beautiful area around it. Our room was very small however and for the price I was expecting more. The breakfast was included with the stay and was tasty. The staff was friendly. The true highlight was seeing the auroras for the first time. "

"I absolutely loved my stay at Fox Hostel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was clean and well cared for, and the beds were super comfortable - exactly what you need after a full day of exploring. The kitchen was amazing and fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals and connect with other travelers. I also met some truly wonderful people during my stay, which made the experience even more special. One of the most magical parts of my time here was the Northern Lights. Just a short walk behind the hostel in the evening, I had the most incredible aurora experience - it truly felt surreal. If the skies are clear and the conditions align, this is such a beautiful and accessible spot to witness them. I would highly recommend Fox Hostel to anyone traveling in the Vík area.
