"I was warmly welcomed to this B&B. It is a beautiful house set in extensive grounds. From my window I had lovely views of the garden and beyond. The room was beautifully decorated and the bedding was soft and comfortable. With the warmth of the welcome and the excellent breakfast I would agree this is an excellent 4* and worthy of its great reviews."

"I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. "We recently stayed at this lovely cottage in Carlisle with my two children and had an amazing time. The place was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cottage had a lovely big garden with beautiful views, and there were some great walks nearby which we all enjoyed. The host was welcoming and made sure everything was just right. We would definitely love to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"
