"The staff was off sight. I have to say though that via Ring and SMS he was still very helpful, friendly and curious. Actually he was the best part of our stay. Problem #1 The bathroom smelled of urine. AND in the bowl was URINE. Problem #2 The floor in the bathroom is woeful. I put towels down so I didn't have to walk on it by the toilet. The flooring was shot. It was pulling away from the floor boards, walls and fixtures. Problem#3 the sink had a leak, but not to worry, the garbage can was...

"It is a neat hotel with character. It is clean and well maintained. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but there are definitely some negatives: The breakfast was pitiful. I was forced to go out for breakfast. There is no dedicated parking and since the hotel is located in the middle of a tourist town, finding street parking was not easy. I had to park several blocks from the hotel. There were often homeless people congregating on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. I would have to walk around them...

"This place is all about location. The experience in a 2-room suite was like staying at the home of an elderly relative who hasn’t updated their furnishings since the 70s. The rooms were spacious but a bit musty and quite worn. But it’s half a block to the main street so overall it’s a good choice if you don’t mind the thin walls and shag carpeting."

We were looking forward to a special experience, but it was little better than a hostel. "Because of the Marathon thru the Avenue of the Giants was this weekend, it was very hard to find a room. This was the only place available and even though the rates were extremely high, we were pleasantly surprised with the property and staff. the early breakfast was an added benefit before we hit the road to the Redwood National Parks. I would stay there again if in the area. Front desk staff was very helpful."

"The room was pretty nice but they are not located in the best of neighborhood's. The worse thing was the noise of the traffic. Apparently the street that runs by there is the one leading to the freeway. No actual closet in room only bars to hang stuff on."
