"We stayed at the West Highland Hotel in Mallaig and had a really pleasant visit. Our room was clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and plenty of space for a couple. The bathroom was clean and modern, though the water pressure was a bit low. Complimentary coffee and tea were a nice touch, and the free parking was a bonus. The view of the isles from our room was fantastic. The staff were what really made our stay, though. They were genuinely friendly, helped us look into sightseeing options, and...

"Bedbugs in Room 212 — unacceptable During our stay at the King’s Arms Hotel, we personally found bedbugs in Room 212 and immediately brought them to the attention of a member of staff. This is a serious hygiene and accommodation issue. As we were travelling, the incident also meant taking additional precautions with our luggage and clothing to prevent potentially bringing bedbugs home. Guests should be able to expect a clean, safe, and properly maintained room. Finding bedbugs in our room fell...

"This appears to have been recently renovated, so clean and in good repair. Rooms are incredibly small. Our bathroom was up three stairs…not good for the older generation. We did not try the restaurant. Staff were fine but we had minimal interaction as we just checked in, slept, and checked out. Fine for an overnight stay…not a long one requiring wiggle room!"

"We spent 5 weeks in the UK and Europe and this was by far the nicest accommodation on the whole trip, our only regret was not staying longer. Excellent property, amazing hosts, the view was to die for and the amenities and breakfast were top class. There is a great little pub next door, so make sure you book as it does get busy. The accommodation location is a little of the beaten track, so stay two nights minimum and then just prepare to be wowed."
