This is not a luxury or vacation style hotel, but it serves its purpose well for short stays. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay, and the property was quiet and easy to navigate. "Only real complaint, since i am a taller man, is that the shower head was a bit lower for my tastes (also shower preasure wasn't the best) but beyond that, it was a fine stay with a good friendly staff."

"This building is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. We stayed in "Kate's Room" and the bits of history and decor were elegant and deliberate. We had everything we needed and more. The bed was comfortable, and the house was quiet. We will, without a doubt, stay at the Shamokin BnB again if we find ourselves in Shamokin."

"Hotel recently transitioned from a Red Roof to a Sleep Inn. (Man at counter said it happened about a month ago) Much of the hotel seemed to be renovated- new flooring, updated bathrooms, new furniture, etc. Everything was clean. A/C worked well, shower was hot, and beds were comfortable. Only reason I rated it a good, not excellent, was the hours for the breakfast. On the weekends, breakfast starts at 7."
