This was by far my greatest stay so far in japan. Amazing food, amazing building, amazing onsen! But westerners be wary, you will need to sacrifice some of your typical understanding of amenitys, theres no showers in the rooms, and very little english is spoken in this whole town. The quiet was lovely and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. Beds were comfy. A little too warm upstairs but cooled off in the night. Disappointed the pool was already closed in late August but we still really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful scenery. Highly recommend! the
